Below you’ll find a list of locations to choose from for your upcoming session. Keep in mind that many of these locations change throughout the year during different seasons. Next to each location you’ll find information and photos as examples. Some locations may require a travel fee. If you have a location you’d like to use that isn’t on this list, let me know and we’ll make it work!

Seymour Muscatatuck Wildlife Refuge

This is one of my most diverse locations. It has something to offer all year round. Grassy fields, woods, ponds and lakes, and even a rustic barn and cabin. Keep in mind that this park is made up of all gravel roads and can take quite a bit of time to travel through. The barn/cabin location is all the way at the back of the refuge. I recommend choosing one location within the park (lake, grass, or barn) for your session so we don’t spend too much time traveling between locations. If you have booked the Pearl package, there will be plenty of time for a location change.
Muscatatuck Park, North Vernon, Indiana
no added travel fee
This location is prettiest in the summer and fall and/or on an overcast day. One part of the park has an old school house that is adorable in the background of your photos. At the other part of the park, you can get a woodsy look, dip your toes in the creek if the water level is low enough, and my personal favorite…take epic photos on the rock wall!
Mill Race Park, Columbus, Indiana

This location offers year-round beauty. The sun sets beautifully behind this grove of trees. There is a pond and a red tunnel that is a client favorite, especially in the summer when the vines are growing.
Ogle Lake, Brown County State Park
no added travel fee
This location is stunning all year round, but can be a little busy in the fall. Ogle Lake is surrounded by beautiful woods and offers a grassy clearing for some photos as well. It does involve a bit of hiking so keep this in mind when booking.
Noblitt Park, Columbus, Indiana

This park offers a grove of trees that the sun sets beautifully behind, offering a gorgeous golden hour session. The rocks here are a really cool and different scenery as well.
McCullough’s Run, Columbus, Indiana

This park has a playground which is sometimes great for bribing kids, haha! Or it can sometimes cause a major distraction depending on the child, so keep that in mind. There is a grass yard with a tree line here that the sun sets behind to get that beautiful golden glow. I love shooting in the tall grass at the front of the park.
Anderson Falls, Hartsville, Indiana

Anderson Falls is a very small but beautiful park where you can get a creek scenery with a waterfall. This location is for the more adventurous couples. I do not suggest this location for clients with children, as there is a little hiking involved to get to the bottom of the falls and it can be difficult to do with kids, as we will have to trek across the river and climb down a hill and over a few big rocks. The stars have to align just right for this location. If the creek is full of water and the falls are rushing, there is no way down to the bottom and we will be more limited on the area we can take photos. If the falls are dry, we can typically cross the river and get down to the bottom with minor obstacles. This is the perfect location for a water session because you’re bound to get a little wet!
Versailles State Park.

This location is one of my favorites. I typically shoot down by the dam that resembles a waterfall. Nearby is a pond, some cool rocks on the water’s edge, and even a creek that is beautiful all year round. I personally think this location is prettiest in the summer, when the greens are lush and wildflowers can sometimes be spotted in the grassy area next to the creek.
Downtown Madison, Indiana

In Madison, there are all kinds of buildings, pretty alleys, walls, and the river to shoot. It is one of my favorite locations!
The Fair

This one is less of a specific location and embraces the spontaneity of getting your photos done at the fair or carnival when it comes through town! So much fun.
